The short version: this site doesn't have accounts, doesn't track you, and doesn't store anything about you. The only personal information involved is what's needed to take your payment and post your order.
1. Who we are
This site is run by Iroha Hayashi, trading as Iroha Hayashi Photography, based in Wellington, New Zealand. If you have any questions about your privacy, email dragony884@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
When you place an order, you give us your name, email address, and delivery address. That's all we ask for.
Your card details go directly to Stripe, our payment provider. They never pass through this site and we never see or store them.
Our host (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running and protecting the site. Stripe also sets cookies on the checkout to detect fraud. We don't use analytics, advertising, or any other tracking.
3. Why we collect it
To take your payment, to post your order to the right address, and to contact you if there's a problem with it. Nothing else. We don't send marketing emails and we don't build a customer list.
4. Who we share it with
Your order details are emailed to Iroha Hayashi so the print can be packed and posted. Your delivery address goes on the envelope, so NZ Post and any overseas postal service handling it will see it. Stripe processes the payment.
That's the full list. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
5. Information going overseas
Stripe and our web host operate outside New Zealand, so your information is stored and processed overseas. Both are large providers with their own privacy obligations, and their policies cover what they do with it.
6. How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it. In practice your order details sit in an email inbox so the order can be packed, posted, and sorted out if something goes wrong. Once it's no longer needed, it's deleted.
Stripe keeps its own record of the transaction, which it has to for tax and anti-fraud reasons. That's governed by Stripe's privacy policy, not this one.
7. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's wrong, and ask us to delete it once your order is complete. Email us and we'll sort it out.
8. Keeping it safe
We keep as little as possible, which is the best protection we can offer. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe so the sensitive part never touches this site. We can't promise that email is perfectly secure, because no system is, but we don't store your details anywhere else.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll try to put it right. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
